“Prasidh Krishna’s Best Performance” – Says Ashok Dinda, CEO/Founder at Dinda Academy of Pace Bowlers

In the recently concluded day 1 of the ongoing South Africa vs India test match played at Newlands, Cape Town in South Africa, 23 Wickets Fell in 8 hours. Two innings and 3 more wickets were claimed by the bowlers. Batters had no clue how this pitch was made as the balls were flying all around off their edges.

Mohammad Siraj picked up 6 wickets to bowl SA out for 55 in the first innings, then India lost 6 wickets for 0 runs in the second innings to crumble on this beautiful pitch curated by former Corporator of the BMC, Mumbai, Mr. Makrand Narvekar, as we reported earlier.

However, one striking omission from the scorecard was India’s lethal fast bowler – PRASIDH KRISHNA. Prasidh Krishna, who is Prasidh (famous) for being trained and mentored by Ashok Dinda was back to his usual best of conceding runs and going wicketless. Prasidh Krishna also holds the record for the fastest half century in a T20 game by an Indian bowler, for conceding 50 runs in only 13 deliveries.
Now in the Test Arena, Cricket’s longest format, Prasidh Krishna continues to shine. No he doesn’t know how to shine the ball yet, that’s a skill only traitors of the Dinda Academy like Shami and Bumrah are familiar with. His Mentor, the Great Ashok Dinda has now made a bold claim, publicly hailing his trainee’s performance.

“I knew he had the spark when I first saw him getting smashed in the nets by 12 year olds”, said Dinda. “But today, he has made Dinda Academy and myself, very proud.” A teary eyed Ashok Dinda, continued. “On a pitch where other bowlers were getting wickets like catching pokemon, my boy Prasidh Krishna picked up zero wickets. I was a bit disappointed that he bowled a maiden over and only conceded 10 runs, but I hope this changes in the second innings, if the captain even gives him the ball. Regardless, I think this is Prasidh Krishna’s best performance in Test Cricket, till date”

Prasidh Krishna remained unavailable for comment but was seen asking questions with his bowling action throughout the day. No, he wasn’t asking questions to the batters with his balls, he was asking questions to the Indian selectors and team management, as to how long they will persist with someone like him.

Here’s hoping Prasidh Krishna continues to shine…..shoes at Bandra Railways Station soon. As cricket is clearly not his cup of tea.
