BCCI Rejects Vinod Kambli’s application to be an Umpire

Vinod Kambli, or Kanye East, as he’s known in the sewers of Baiganwadi is back in the news, again for all the wrong reasons. Kambli who is known for being Sachin Tendulkar’s childhood best friend and for being an overall total chutiya in the country is currently involved in a tussle with the BCCI.

Kambli unhappy with BCCI’s decision

According to sources, Vinod Kambli had recently applied to become an Umpire. After watching several videos of Kumar Dharmasena, Steve Bucknor and Asad Rauf, Kambli had trained himself to make decisions as poor as his fashion sense. But as usual, Vinod thought he’s the best of the lot and tried to register his name as a national umpire for the 2023 Indian Premier League.

Kambli a talented, but failed cricketer, sought to clear his bad name with this new career decision. He thought Umpiring would be a second innings for his life. But BCCI had other plans. The BCCI has blocked any and all communication from Vinod Kambli. A BCCI spokesperson was willing to clarify anonymously. Here’s what they said “Kambli chutiya hai. Usko laga 3-4 bachhe log ka game Shivaji Park maidan mein umpire-giri karke usko IPL mein chance milega. Usko bolo dusra koi kaam dhanda dhunde, humko phone kar kar ke pareshaan kar diya hai isne, chutiya sala.”

Vinod Kambli has been seen around Dadar-Shivaji Park area in Mumbai, eating Tibbs Frankies, Ganesh Vada Pav and drinking Aarey Milk. He does commentary for under-9 kids matches at Shivaji Park. Here’s a Rowdy Cricket exclusive photograph. Sources say, he brings his own microphone and speaker system on rent for his commentary stint, and applauds his own commentary.

Kambli has also been seen Umpiring the under 9 kids game between Udupi Vihar South Indian Restaurant and Chaitanya Housing Society Pvt Ltd. One of the kids, Bhaskar Parchure had this to say about Mr. Kambli’s umpiring talents – “Woh taklya khud hi aya tha, mereko umpiring ka chance do karke. Humko kya hai, batting team wala number 11 ko umpire rakha to fielding team gaali deta hai chidkya chidkya bolke, aur wicket keeper ko umpire rakha, toh khud hi appeal karta hai aur khud hi out deta hai. Fukat mein yeh Kambli kaka umpire banraha hai to banne do humko maja aata hai.”

But all is not well with Kambli’s antiques on or off the field. 8 year old Bhaskar Parchure has lodged an official complaint against Mr. Kambli with the BCCI. Here’s what he had to say about Kambli’s behaviour – “Are woh yeda match khatam hone k baad, 7-8 saal k bachche log se bowling karwata hai aur ball six marke ground k baahar marta hai. Humara Ball sab ghum gaya aur parsi colony wali aunty ka kaanch phoot gaya toh bina paise diye bhaag gaya yeh Kambli. Chyamayla, humara chingum chori karta hai, aur mere pappa scooter pe aaye the, toh unka scooter leke round maarne gaya, fir pappa se 100 Rupees bhi manga usne”

Clearly BCCI took offense to Vinod Kambli’s antiques and has banned him from becoming an Umpire. We hope the kids playing at Shivaji Park remain protected from Vinod Kambli and go on to play for India some day. Meanwhile, all the best to Mr. Kambli.
